Goodwin Care
Goodwin has 238 residential aged care beds and offers both permanent and respite services across three fully accredited aged care facilities. Our aged care facilities are conveniently located in North Canberra (Ainslie), Woden (Farrer) and Tuggeranong (Monash) and offer easy access by public transport and parking for family and friends.
Goodwin's Care program delivers ongoing quality care and support in a home-like atmosphere that welcomes residents and their families. Nursing and care staff are available 24 hours each day and Goodwin provides catering, cleaning and laundry services on site as well as resident activities program and access to specialist nursing and care support services.
Goodwin has an 'ageing in place' approach to the delivery of services that allows residents to remain in the facility for as long as possible. We are able to provide dedicated high care and dementia-specific services so you will be able to remain within the Goodwin system as your care needs change. You will receive the same level of care and support at any of our three aged care facilities.
Our 'ageing in place' approach to service delivery will also transfer into our new aged care facilities currently being built at Ainslie and planned for the second stage of our Monash site. We anticipate being able to provide in home services to clients through our Goodwin Community program before they need to transfer to one of our aged care facilities for permanent ongoing care.

For nearly 50 years, we’ve been providing quality care to older people in Canberra. Our Care program can provide the support you need in a home-like atmosphere, where friends and relatives are welcome to visit. Our nursing and care staff are available 24 hours each day and we can look after all your daily needs. There are many activities that let you spend time with other residents, and you have access to specialist nursing and care support services.

The older we get, the more reassuring it can be to stay in familiar surroundings. Goodwin’s ‘ageing in place’ approach to the delivery of services means our residents can stay with us for as long as possible. We can provide dedicated high-care and dementia-specific services, so you can stay within the Goodwin system as your care needs change. You will receive the same excellent level of care and support at any of our three aged care facilities, at Ainslie, Farrer and Monash.
If you feel you don’t need full time care, we can provide you with services in your own home, through our Goodwin Community Program. That way, you can stay in the home you love for as long as possible, and there’s always the option to transfer to one of our aged care facilities later on.
