Goodwin Aged Care Services today welcomed the news that its Ainslie independent living complex has been nominated as one of the best apartment developments in Australia in the Australia’s Favourite Home competition.
Australia’s Favourite Home is an initiative by HIA Australia and realestate.com.au to find the best houses, apartments and renovation project in Australia. Nominees for the online poll were drawn from finalists in the 2008 HIA Australian Housing Awards, and represent some of Australia’s best known architects and builders.
Goodwin’s Lifestyle Village at Ainslie has been nominated in the Apartment or Townhouse of the Year category, alongside such major developments as The Esplanade in Melbourne. Goodwin CEO Bruce McKenzie said being nominated in this category alongside regular apartment buildings is very exciting for the company, and demonstrates that housing for older people doesn’t have to compromise on style.
Voting is now open, and will run until 7 June. Mr McKenzie urged all Canberrans to get online and help make Goodwin Ainslie Australia’s favourite home. People voting have a chance to win a $10,000 Stegbar voucher (there are 5 vouchers) or a weekly spot prize.
