Goodwin - The Better Life Choice

Goodwin's Lifestyle Villages are in three convenient locations across Canberra – North Canberra (Ainslie), Woden (Farrer) and Tuggeranong (Monash). All our Villages are accessible by public transport and are within a short distance from group shopping centres and major town centres.

Accommodation and services responding to the life choices of people over the age of 60 is the major focus of Goodwin's Lifestyle program. Our emphasis is on increasing your quality of life by not only providing a safe community environment but also providing services that will make life more comfortable and enjoyable.

Goodwin already has 305 Apartments and Townhouses at our Retirement Villages at Farrer and Monash ranging from affordable bedsit units to 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom townhouses and apartments set in well cared for gardens and grounds.

In April 2007, we completed the 19 lifestyle units at our Farrer Village. There are now 73 units at Farrer.

In March 2010 we completed 27 apartments at Ainslie bringing the total number of apartments on this site to 108. Additionally a Lifestyle Club featuring a cafe, day spa, indoor heated pool, meeting and activity rooms, a chapel lounge and a billiards room was officially opened in March 2010.

In September 2008 we commenced site works for the construction of a further 150 villas at our Monash Village. Construction of the first 51 villas was completed in March 2010 and a further 42 villas are currently under construction and will be available later this year or early 2011. We are currently building a Lifestyle Clubhouse at Monash that will have an extensive range of facilities including a cafe, day spa, meeting rooms, chapel & lounge area & this is expexted to be completed in July 2010. A new 3 hole, Par 3 golf course has been constructed and will be ready in the Spring 2010 for play.

In addition to having a range of accommodation for our unit residents, Goodwin has facilities and activities programs for residents that support active and independent lifestyles. We have a dedicated Lifestyle Officers supporting our residents at Ainslie, Farrer and Monash.

For those residents who do need some care to live comfortably in their lifestyle unit, Goodwin is able to provide home-based care and support through the Goodwin Community program. Goodwin also has available permanent care and respite care places in our aged care facilities and therefore we are able to offer a continuum of service to you.
